Jen graduated from the Isenberg School of Business at UMASS Amherst with a BA in Accounting and a Minor in English. After working as a CPA, she became the Vice President of Finance for a large real estate development firm. Over the following decade, Jen’s strong organizational skills and pleasant demeanor contributed to her success as a skilled negotiator.
Jen’s passion for youth development encouraged her and two friends to co-found Active Kids + Minds (formerly Reebok’s BOKS program), a before-school physical activity program for elementary school students. Jen’s notable work ethic and dedication were instrumental in the program’s exponential growth, from five schools in Natick, MA, to over 12,000 schools globally.
Taking time to raise her children, Jen immersed herself further in volunteerism, chairing several committees and assuming board leadership roles in the community. She guided her children through their college searches, gaining valuable insights into navigating athletic recruiting and college transfer processes. Her two oldest sons graduated from Boston College (’21) and Tufts (’23). Her third son is a junior at Tufts, and her daughter started at the University of Washington this fall. Her two youngest boys are in high school and middle school.
Returning to work as the Program Director for a nonprofit organization supporting widowed parents and their children, Jen reinvigorated their high school-to-college transition program. Her opportunity to offer thoughtful, compassionate guidance to parents and students inspired her to enroll in UCLA’s College Counseling Certificate Program, graduating with distinction. Jen completed her practicum and joined All About Admissions, where she is engrossed in their collaborative approach to counseling. Jen’s inviting manner and curiosity enable students to discover their motivations, communicate their strengths, and authentically capture the essence of their lived experiences and aspirations.
Jen continues her academic training at the Landmark College Institute for Research and Training (LCIRT), enhancing her ability to work with students struggling with executive functioning challenges and other learning differences. She is an associate member of the IECA.
