The Comprehensive College Plan
This plan is available to students in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades.
All About Admissions guides your student through every step of the college application process. With early planning, your student will make wise, informed decisions about the high school curriculum, extracurricular involvement, and standardized test timing. We will help you maximize the strength of your application and essays while minimizing procrastination and last-minute stress.
What’s included in the Comprehensive College Plan:
Develop a personal strategy for organizing and managing the application process
Conduct student and parent intake and interviews to assess college goals and student profile
Review the college admissions process, including factors colleges consider when making a decision
Your Road Map to College- an individualized action plan with a detailed timeline for the entire process
Review student’s academic record, standardized test scores, IEP or 504 Plan, if applicable
Access to College Planner Pro Portal, which we will use to communicate, stay organized, set to-do lists, conduct college searches, build and edit college lists, document activities/awards and track admission tasks
Assessments to discover interests, skills, strengths, personality, and values through You Science, Corsava Card Sort, and others, as needed
Uncover overlooked or hidden skills, talents, and interests
Questionnaires to discover characteristics the student is looking for in a college
High school course selection and planning
Recommendations on extracurricular and summer activities
Standardized testing guidance and scheduling
Compile a balanced college list including likely, target, and reach schools (a list that will be refined throughout the process with the student and parents)
Discussion of demonstrated interest
Advice and tools to plan, schedule, evaluate and make the most of college visits
Review of different application plans-Early Decision 1, Early Decision 2, Early Action, Restrictive Early Action and Regular Decision
Customized timeline of application deadlines and discussion of application strategy
Assist with Common Application and other application platforms, as needed, to create an authentic and powerful application
General financial aid and scholarship guidance
Brainstorming essay topics and themes, development and editing of the personal statement and supplemental essays. This plan includes up to 8 complete essays. A full college essay is up to 650 words. Two essays of 300 words or less will count as one full essay. Additional discounted time can be purchased if needed.
Crafting and editing of the activities list
Resume creation to be used for interviews, college, and scholarship applications
Preparation and strategy for college interviews
Securing solid letters of recommendation
Review of applications before submission by entire AAA team
Assistance with Letters of Continued Interest, if and as needed
Guidance with final college and financial aid decisions
